Seawork International 2017
RBS Marine, are delighted to be exhibiting a Rodman Patrol 33 at the Seawork Show, 13th-15th June, Mayflower Park, Southampton. This is the first time that one of Rodman’s commercial vessels will be exhibited in the UK. The Rodman Patrol 33 is a high speed vessel with a hull capable of up to 55 knots, particularly suitable for coastal surveillance and intervention operations where speed is essential. Rodman have supplied 80 of these vessels as part of two recent contract, and reached a new deal earlier this year for a further 10 units for the Royal Oman Police. The Patrol 33 is the smaller of the commercial vessels, and the shipyard are currently nearing the completion of five impressive Rodman 111 Interceptor Patrol Vessels. Rodman are no stranger to building boats of this size, and also supply large catamarans as both passenger ferries and as working boats.
The Rodman Patrol 33 will be on the water at the Seawork International Show on berth VB02, and there will also be a stand on the Quayside, Q44, where you can discuss more of the commercial range, and bespoke vessels with the RBS Marine and Rodman representatives.
As well as the patrol boats, Rodman has recently developed a versatile and very special range of passenger catamaran. In the last few years Rodman has designed, built and successfully delivered different types of catamarans, not only for passenger transport but also for other purposes such as hydrographic, research or offshore windmill support catamarans. The experience acquired with this type of vessel ranks Rodman as one of the European reference Shipyards in this field. In 2016 Rodman has delivered the Rodman 90, the first high speed vessel built in Spain under HSC 2000 Code. The vessel is therefore authorized to transport more than 250 passengers at high speed.
Rodman are currently building the new Rodman 100 Catamaran. As with the previous catamaran, the new one will be built under the International Code of Safety for High Speed Crafts and will be certified by the LLOYD’S REGISTER OF SHIPPING. Also, the building of this new ship, will be regulated by the most demanding environmental rules, to assure a total commitment and respect to the environment, improving the fuel’s consumption efficiency.
