RBS Marine Go International Again!
RBS Marine have been fortunate to make two further international sales this year, first a Rodman 1250 Fisher Pro to Germany and a Rodman 1250 to Mauritius. Even better for us, both boats were intended for some serious fishing, which means we were able to fit some serious fishing gear!
First of all, we visited Germany to commission the Rodman 1250 Fisher Pro (pictured above) in the Northern port of Kröslin. This boat is the most highly specified 1250 Fisher Pro that the Rodman factory have built to date, and some of the key features include an extended bathing platform with stainless rails, flybridge cover, outriggers, rod holders and powerful twin Volvo D9 575hp engines. The bespoke flybridge cover worked wonderfully around the outriggers and rod holders, enabling ease of access when fishing.

Then, it was on to a rather longer plane journey all the way over to Mauritius to commission a new Rodman 1250, this one specified with twin Yanmar 6LY3A 440hp engines. A busy few days saw boat unwrapped, the installation of the extended bathing platform, and the build up of the flybridge rails, screen, outriggers, rod holders, radar arch and bimini. Unfortunately, due to a wait for some paperwork in order to move the boat, the RBS Marine team didn’t get a fish in before they were due to fly home, but less than a week after they landed we got this picture of the boats first catch, a 300lb Black Marlin! We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
For more pictures of the trip to Mauritius, we have a dedicated album here.
We share lots of pictures of the boats and fish caught on our Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram. Why not follow us for more pictures, news and info, and be part of the RBS Marine and Rodman community.
