The 450 Minicat is available in three different set ups - Tiller, Centre Console (CC) and Forward Steering (FS). The 450 has amazing stability and ample room for four adults to fish. The raised sheerline improves styling and ensures she stands out from the rest.
Options include additional rod holders, additional grab rails, vinyl hull wrap, upholstered seats, ski/tow bracket with rocket launchers, hydraulic steering (CC & FS version) and removable bait board. There is also the option to upgrade the transom storage on the CC and FS versions to a live bait tank.
Unlike many other powered catamarans, Minicats are driven by single outboards mounted between the two hulls. Designer Kim Bertelsen put much time and thought into this process, "we've done plenty of experimenting with the tunnels and the characteristics of the hulls and deadrise. We've also come up with a good way to help direct water flow over the propeller and avoid cavitation". This ensures that there is no ventilation to the propellers and no problem getting the boats up on to the plane - the boats go exceptionally well with modest horsepower.
